However, upon investigation, we discovered that the claim was misleading. The viral video is old and unrelated to the NEET exam paper leak controversy. Here’s the fact check.
Fact Check
At the beginning of our investigation, we took screenshots from the viral video and conducted a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram handle where the viral video was uploaded on 26 September 2025. According to the caption, the video shows the last journey of the renowned singer Zubeen Garg in Guwahati, Assam.

This makes it clear that the video is old.
We conducted a relevant keyword search which led us to other videos of Zubeen Garg’s last journey from the Guwahati airport to his home in Kahilipara.
A video uploaded on the YouTube channel of India Times contained a clip similar to the viral video.

The description of the video read, “An ocean of grief filled Guwahati as thousands gathered to pay their last respects to legendary singer Zubeen Garg. Known as the voice of Assam and beyond, his melodies will forever echo in the hearts of his fans.”
A comparison between the screenshots from the viral video and the news report is shown below.

We geolocated the place in the viral video that can be seen here.
However, NSUI staged protests outside the National Testing Agency office in Delhi over allegations linked to the NEET exam 2026 paper leak, demanding strict action and a ban on the agency.
This makes it clear that the viral video is old and unrelated to the NEET exam paper leak controversy.

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is misleading. The viral video doesn’t show a protest rally organised by NSUI in Delhi over the NEET exam paper leak controversy. This is an old video from the last journey of singer Zubeen Garg in Assam.
