However, upon investigation, we found that the claim was missing context. The viral video is scripted. Here’s the fact check.

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram handle, “Monty Deepak Sharma“, where the viral video was uploaded on August 2, 2025.
Upon reviewing the Instagram handle, we found multiple videos featuring the same people.
We learned that the user of the Instagram handle is an actor who creates such short videos. In one such video, we noticed a disclaimer stating that the video is scripted.
For further information, we contacted the user. We will update it here whenever we get a response.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim is missing context. The viral video showing the mother of an Army officer being mistreated is not a real incident. It’s a scripted video.
