Recently, a video went viral on social media, claiming it to be the live video of Bharat Bhushan Tiwari’s encounter in Bihar.
Instagram Link | Archived Link.
However, upon investigation, we found that the claim was false. The viral video is unrelated to the Bharat Tiwari Encounter Case and not from Bihar. Here’s the fact check.
Fact Check
We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram handle where the viral video was uploaded on June 20, 2026. According to the caption, the video was from Madanpura Gau Sadan, Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. Two cows died in Madanpura Gau Sadan, following which the Bajrang Dal staged a protest, and police tried to keep the situation under control.

We found another video on the same Instagram handle where we could see the person who was claimed to be Bharat Bhushan Tiwari in the video. According to the caption, the person is a Bajrang Dal member. The person said that when the police were taking him away, his neck was sore and he couldn’t breathe properly.
Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to a report published in Dainik Bhaskar on June 20, 2026, that contained a longer version of the viral video.
The translation of the report read, “Bajrang Dal activists created a ruckus at the Madanpura cowshed in the Mithora block area of Maharajganj district on Saturday after two bovine animals died. The activists accused the cowshed staff and officials of negligence and demanded action against the culprits. Police and administrative officials had to arrive at the scene to control the situation.
Bajrang Dal activists reached the cowshed upon receiving information about the cattle deaths. They alleged that the cattle at the cowshed were not being properly cared for, resulting in the continued deaths. The activists added that several cattle had also died a few months earlier, but no effective action was taken in that case.
Upon receiving information about the commotion, Tehsildar Amit Kumar Singh arrived at the scene with the police and attempted to pacify the protesting workers. However, despite prolonged discussions, the workers remained unmoved and continued to demand the immediate removal of the dead animals and strict action against the responsible officers and employees.”

Moreover, we could see the Uttar Pradesh Police “उ प्र पु” logo on the uniforms of the police officials.

This makes it clear that the viral video is unrelated to Bharat Tiwari’s encounter in Bihar.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show the live video of Bharat Tiwari’s encounter. The video is from Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh. It shows members of the Bajrang Dal protesting against the death of cows in Madanpura Gausadan.
