Fact check:

We started our investigation with a reverse image search on Google, and the results led us to a similar video on an Instagram post uploaded on 4 March 2026. Upon analysing the video, we found that the video was linked to Holi celebrations at the Howrah Bridge in Kolkata. This indicates that the viral video was not recent and it is unrelated to the BJP victory celebrations.

Using these hints, we conducted further searches and found several media reports regarding this. According to a Telegraph report published in March 2026, the Bagla family’s Holi celebration—popularly known as Kolkata’s “Rolls Royce Holi”—began at the Satyanarayan temple in Howrah, passed over Howrah Bridge, and concluded at Sonapatti in Burrabazar. The report also added that the Rolls-Royce holds importance as it was bought from Rudyard Kipling, making it a symbol of Kolkata’s cultural heritage.

Moving forward, we also found similar visuals on a YouTube video under the caption “Rolls Royce Holi Celebration 2026 Kolkata || Howrah Bridge Holi Celebration.”

This makes it clear that the viral video is old and not related to the BJP’s victory celebration in the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections.

Conclusion

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the video to be false. This video shows a Holi celebration rally on the Howrah Bridge in March 2026.
