Clipped Video Of Yogi Adityanath Is Going Viral.

Recently, a video of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath went viral on social media, in which he allegedly urged people to make him Prime Minister and claimed that PoK would be part of Indian territory within six months.

However, upon investigation, we discovered that the viral video had been edited. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by conducting a relevant keyword search. This led us to the YouTube channel of Zee News where a longer version of the video was uploaded on May 18, 2024. 

From the timestamp 1:40, Yogi Adityanath can be heard saying that if Narendra Modi becomes the prime minister for the third time, the PoK will be in the Indian territory within six months.

We found another video uploaded on the YouTube channel of ANI on May 18, 2024. The description of the video read, ” Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a rally at Palghar, Maharashtra on May 18. While addressing the rally he claimed that if Narendra Modi will become Prime Minister for third time, Pakistan occupied Kashmir will become part of India within six months. He said ” “We will not worship our enemy. If someone kills our people we will not worship them but give them an answer that they deserve. It has become difficult for Pakistan to save Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Let PM Modi become the Prime Minister for the third time and within six months PoK will become part of India…”.”

We can hear Yogi Adityanath saying that if Narendra Modi becomes the prime minister for the third time, the PoK will be in the Indian territory within six months.

This makes it clear that Yogi Adityanath was talking about Narendra Modi in the viral video. 

Conclusion

From our investigation, we can say that the video has been altered. The viral video has been clipped. In the original video, Yogi Adityanath said that if Narendra Modi becomes the prime minister for the third time, the PoK will be in the Indian territory within six months.
