We started our investigation with a reverse image search on Google, and the results led us to a longer version of the video uploaded by an Instagram user named Rajesh Gaur on 20 July 2026, and it states the video is from Mumbai.
In the complete video, as the user pans the camera, it is evident that the video is from outside a cinema theater where films like Pati Patni Aur Woh Do and Raja Shivaji are being screened.
Using these hints, we conducted further searches and found this viral video is from outside the Regal Cinema, it is at Colaba Causeway in Mumbai. You can see an image of the theatre below.
So, all this evidence confirms that the viral video is from Mumbai, and it has no link to the CJP protest. So, the video that is being circulated as Naseeruddin Shah’s visit to the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar is actually from Mumbai.
