A video is going viral on social media that shows a man following a schoolgirl and then forcibly grabbing and kissing her on the street. It is being claimed that the man is a Maulana who is molesting a student in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.

We started our investigation with a reverse image search on Google, and the results led us to a similar video on a Facebook post shared on 19 March, 2024. According to the caption, this video is of a Hafiz boy forcibly kissing a girl near Sonar Bangla School, for which the person has also been arrested.
Moving forward, we found several Bangladeshi media reports regarding this incident sharing the same video. You can see them video reports on the official YouTube channel of Nagorik TV and ATN News.
The Daily Campus report states that the incident occurred in Dinajpur, Bangladesh, where a youth named Sakhawat Hossain was arrested for publicly kissing and injuring a sixth-grade student. The report further added that the sixth-grade student of a girls’ high school in Dinajpur was stalked and molested by Sakhawat Hossain. He forcibly kissed her on the face, and when the schoolgirl tried to scream, Hossain scratched her cheeks with his nails, causing serious injuries.
Based on all these evidences, we can understand that an old Bangladesh molestation video falsely shared as recent incident from Uttar Pradesh.
