We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram handle where the viral video was uploaded on May 25, 2026. According to the caption, the video is from Hooghly Ijtema 2026.

Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to an Instagram handle where the viral video was uploaded on January 5, 2026. According to the caption, the video is from Hooghly Bishwa Ijtema, 2026.

According to reports, the Hooghly Bishwa Ijtema was held from January 2 to 5, 2026, in Puinan, Hooghly.
Our Assamese team contacted the user and he said that he shot the video during Ijtema 2026.
We geolocated the place that can be seen here.
This makes it clear that the viral video is old and from Bishwa Ijtema 2026, Hooghly.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim was false. The viral video doesn’t show the illegal Bangladeshi people being deported from West Bengal following the BJP’s victory in the Assembly Elections.
