An image of beef biryani masala carrying the name of Ramdev and Patanjali is going viral on social media. Users are criticizing Patanjali for hypocrisy of promoting well-being of cow and also selling beef related products to Hindus.

However, Fact Crescendo found that this is an altered image. The real image is of National Beef Biryani masala and not Ramdev and Patanjali.

What's the claim?

Sharing the same image on Facebook, another user wrote, "Eating beef is wrong but selling beef masala is not wrong and selling it to people who follow Sanatan Dharm is also not wrong?"

Fact Check-

After a close look at the viral image, we found SATIRE written on the right side of the packet which is very faintly visible. But many users believe that this is a product by Patanjali. Below you can see it.

A Google Reverse Image Search led us to a similar image on e-commerce shopping sites like Amazon and others which you can see here and here. The image of beef biryani packet is a product of National company and not Patanjali.

Below you can see the comparison between the viral and real image. In both the images, you can see the color and texture of the packet to be same.

Apart from this, we search for various product in the Patanjali's website. We found that all the products are veg and no product in the website is named as Beef Biryani Masala.

National beef biryani is a product of Pakistan based company called National foods. It was founded in 1970 as a spice company and currently operating in 13 countries.

Conclusion:

Fact Crescendo found that the real image is of a beef biryani masala packet owned by a Pakistan based company, National Foods. The real image was altered and Ramdev and Patanjali's name was added digitally.
