However, upon investigation, we found that the claim was misleading. The viral video is old and unrelated to the Bharat Tiwari Encounter Case. Here’s the fact check.

At the beginning of our investigation, we noticed the banner in the viral video where “Vote Chori”, “Chhattisgarh”… was written on it.
Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to a report published in Dainik Bhaskar in August 2025 that contained a similar video to the viral one.
According to the report, the video shows a torch rally against “Vote Chori” by the Youth Congress in Raipur in August 2025.
We found a similar video on the Facebook page “Vistaar News” on August 14, 2025.
According to the post, the video shows a torch rally by Congress against Vote Chori in Raipur.
We found a similar video on the X handle of the Indian Youth Congress on August 13, 2025. According to the caption, the video was from the protest in Raipur against “Vote Chori”.
This makes it clear that the viral video is old and unrelated to the Bharat Tiwari Encounter Case.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim is misleading. The viral video doesn’t show a protest against the encounter of Bharat Bhushan Tiwari in Bihar. This is an old video from Raipur against “Vote Chori”.
