Recently, a post showing a highway divider covered with beautiful flowers went viral on social media. Sharing the photos, users claimed that they show a highway in Assam.

However, upon investigation, we discovered that the claim was false. The highway is not located in Assam. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a Facebook page called “Our Gazipur,” where we found several videos showing the same road featured in the viral post. 

According to the captions, the videos are from Bangladesh.

Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search in Bengali. This led us to the YouTube channel of “Prothom Alo” where we found a report on the viral road. According to the report, the video features the Dhaka- Mymensingh highway in the Gazipur area of Bangladesh.

This makes it clear that the viral video is from Bangladesh.

Conclusion 

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral highway covered with beautiful flowers is not from Assam. This is the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Gazipur’s Hotapara in Bangladesh.
