An armed conflict between Israel and Iran started on 13 June 2025. Against this backdrop video of an explosion in a building went viral claiming it to be an attack on the military headquarters of Israel by Iran.
However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is from Gaza. Here’s the fact check.

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a tweet on 31 May 2025. The tweet contained a video where we saw the viral clip. According to the tweet, the video shows attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Moving forward, we found the same video on the X handle of Roya News English uploaded on 1 June 2025. According to the tweet, the video shows a residential tower in central Gaza being bombed.

This makes it clear that the viral video is from Gaza and it predates the recent conflict between Iran and Israel.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show an Iranian attack on the military headquarters of Israel. The video is from Gaza, and it predates the recent conflict between Iran and Israel.
