There are reports that in the days leading up to the inauguration of the Ram Temple a procession of 500 people, carrying 1,100 baskets of items intended as wedding gifts for Lord Ram, will arrive in Ayodhya from Janakpur, Nepal, the birthplace of his bride Sita. Against this backdrop, a video is widely circulating on social media that devotees are flocking to Ayodhya from Nepal. The video of the procession showing people dressed in yellow and orange clothes is being shared with the caption, “Procession from Nepal, Mother’s house of Godess Sita Devi, carrying gifts and offers for the Kumbabhishekam ceremony of Sri Rama Sita temple in Ayodhya.So not only India but Nepal is also in full “Josh” for the Ram Temple”.
Fact Check
We started our investigation by running a Google reverse image search and we found that the video was not from Ayodhya but from Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. This video is of a Bhagwat Katha session held by controversial Dhirendra Shastri in Greater Noida last year. According to Swadharma News founder Surajit Dasgupta’s tweet, 75,000 women marched on the roads of Greater Noida, responding to Pt Dheerendra Shastri’s call for a session of Bhagawat Katha. This is the real India no invader could undo.
Many media websites have reported about this Bhagwat Katha session. According to these reports, this was organized from July 10 to July 16 in 2023. As per these reports, these visuals show a Kalash Yatra held in Greater Noida before the Bhagwat Katha conducted by Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, famously known as Bageshwar Baba. The Kalash Yatra was held from Greater Noida’s City Park to Jetpur for a distance of 3 km.

In the video we can also listen to Bhajans of Bageshwar Dham Hanuman (Balaji). Dhirendra Shastri is the priest of Bageshwar Dham temple. The video circulating in the name of Ayodhya is from Greater Noida. A video of procession held ahead of Bhagwat katha session by Dhirendra Shastri, the priest of Bageshwar Dham, is being circulated in the name of Ayodhya.
Conclusion
Fact Crescendo found that the claim made along with the viral image to be Misleading. The video is related to a Kalash Yatra organised in Greater Noida before Pandit Dhirendra Shastri’s Bhagwat Katha in July 2023. It has no link to Ayodhya Ram temple inauguration.
