Fact Check-

A Google Reverse Image Search on a keyframe led us to the same video tweeted by a user. The user wrote, “Modiji, when did you play garba? Perfect resemblance”

Another tweet states that the man in the video is PM Modi’s look-alike Vikash Mahante who did garba during Navratri in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Keeping the above facts in mind, we searched for Vikas Mahante’s social media accounts. His bio on Instagram says that he is an actor, businessman and a social activist. We found the same video uploaded on his Instagram account. According to the information, this video is from London where Vikas Mahante was invited as Chief Guest at Diwali Mela.

Fact Crescendo contacted Vikas Mahante’s son. He clarified that the person in the video is his father. Further, we contacted Vikas Mahante’s manager Atul Parikh. He told us, “The man dancing in the video is Vikas Mahante and not PM Modi. We have always said that he is an artist and a social worker. He was never introduced as Prime Minister Modi. You can check his social media accounts.”

Conclusion:

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. The man dancing in the video is not PM Modi. This person is a social activist and an actor named Vikas Mahante.
