Fact Check-

On observing the video carefully we can see the sentence “Reaction to Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Shikara which secularised massacre of Kashmiri Pandits,” written on it.

Taking this cue, we ran a keyword search on Google, which led us to a news report published by India Today on 8 February 2020. According to the report, at a screening of Shikara, a Kashmiri Pandit woman lashed out at Vidhu Vinod Chopra after watching the film. At the special screening, organised by Vidhu Vinod Chopra at a theatre in Connaught Place, Delhi, the Kashmiri Pandit woman broke down and accused the director of commercialising their plight.

A Twitter user posted this video in 2020, stating that the women is responding to the movie Shikara. The film is based on the love story of a young Kashmiri Pandit couple at the peak of insurgency in Jammu and Kashmir during the 1990s and the subsequent exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir Valley. The film was released on 7 February 2020.

They can be seen touching the feet of director Vivek Agnihotri, hugging him as they tell him that the film portrayed the horrific realities they have suffered in life. News 18 published a news on the same.

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with viral video on social media to be misleading. The viral video does not show a Hindu Pandit woman blaming Kashmir Files to show misleading and fake content in the name of Kashmiri Pandit exodus. The video dates back to 2020 when a woman has lashed out at the director of the film Shikara that was also based on Kashmir Pandit exodus.
