
A video of the US army playing the Indian national anthem is going viral on social media claiming that this is the original footage from West Point officer academy in USA on Independence Day 2020. This video was tweeted by Raveena Tandon on Twitter with the caption “Today at West Point officers academy USA.”

Fact Check–
We started our investigation by carefully observing the video where we found that “America’s Corp Band” written on a bus. We ran a reverse image search on the same and found this video on YouTube uploaded on 19th September 2019. It means that this video is not a recent one shot on 74th Independence Day in India.
Another keyword search led us to same video published by ANI on 19th September 2019 stating that the American Army band playing Indian National Anthem during the Exercise Yudh Abhyas 2019 at Joint Base Lewis, McChord.
According to the Economic Times the report reads American Army band playing Indian National Anthem during the Exercise ‘Yudh Abhyas 2019’ at Joint Base Lewis, McChord. A joint military exercise, ‘Yudh Abhyas 2019’ between India and the US is hosted alternatively between two countries. This is the 15th edition of ‘Yudh Abhyas’.
Conclusion- Fact Crescendo found the above post to be False. A video showing the US Army band playing India’s National Anthem is shared falsely claiming that the band was commemorating India’s 74th Independence Day on August 15th, 2020.
