Ketan Agarwal, a 26-year-old Pune-based businessman, was pushed off a 350-foot cliff at the Lohagad Fort near Pune on 18 June 2026. The police have arrested his 20-year-old fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her 22-year-old alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, on charges of murder and criminal conspiracy. Following the incident, a video depicting a large crowd at Pune’s Lohagad Fort is going viral on social media. The video is being shared with the claim that it shows recent tourists visiting the location associated with the Ketan Agarwal murder case.
Let’s check the truth.
Fact check:
We started our investigation with a reverse image search on Google, and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on a Facebook post by Being Punekar in July 2023. This indicates that the viral video is old, and the murder case of a Pune-based realtor came to light in June 2026.

Moving forward, we found a video report by Saam TV on Instagram shared in July 2023 that also carried the viral video, further confirming that it is unrelated to the recent reports of increased crowds at Lohagad Fort. The report states, “Lohagad Fort, located about 70 kilometers from Pune city, was crowded with tourists on Sunday. It is reported that people were stuck at the main gate of the fort for about 4 hours and the video of this incident has gone viral on social media.”
Based on this evidence, we can understand that an old video showing a weekend tourist rush at Maharashtra’s Lohagad Fort was falsely linked to the recent murder of Pune-based realtor Ketan Agarwal. While tourist numbers at the fort increased after the incident, police temporarily closed it amid an ongoing investigation.
But the viral video had no connection to it and was originally recorded in July 2023.
Conclusion
Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the video to be Misleading. This is an old video from 2023 showing a crowd at Lohagad Fort, Pune.
