We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a Facebook page of a Bangladeshi media where a longer version of the viral video was uploaded on May 10, 2026.

According to the report, the video shows a demolition drive in Jashore. We noticed the Bangladesh Police in the viral video. Speaking to the media, an officer stated that the people had been given notice to vacate the place for a year, but they didn’t listen to the authority.
Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to a YouTube channel where the viral video was uploaded on May 10, 2026.

According to the description, the video shows a demolition drive in Jashore, Bangladesh.

This makes it clear that the viral video is from Bangladesh.

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show a demolition drive in West Bengal. The video is from Jashore, Bangladesh.
