Old Unrelated Video Going Viral As Fans Gather During Lionel Messi’s Visit To Hyderabad.

A video of a huge crowd is going viral on social media, claiming to be the footage of fans gathering to welcome Lionel Messi in Hyderabad.

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is old and unrelated to Messi’s visit to India. Here’s the fact check 

Fact Check

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a tweet on 26 November 2025 that contained the viral video. According to the tweet, the video shows actor Allu Arjun during the promotion of his film Pushpa 2.

Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search which led us to a video uploaded on a YouTube channel on 4 December, 2024 that contained visuals similar to the viral video shot from a different angle.

A comparison between the screenshot from the viral video and the YouTube video can be seen below.

This makes it clear that the viral video shows a crowd during Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 Promotions.

Conclusion 

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show fans welcoming Lionel Messi in Hyderabad recently. The viral video is old. It shows a huge crowd during Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 Promotions.
