Old video goes viral as Aviation minister dancing amid Indigo crisis

Against this backdrop, a video of Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu dancing on a stage is going viral on social media with the claim that the Union Civil Aviation Minister was enjoying himself while the country was reeling under a crisis.

Fact Check-   

By conducting a keyword and reverse image search on Google, we found that the video was originally uploaded by a news outlet covering Telangana and Andhra Pradesh named Tone News on 29 July 2025. The caption states, Ram Mohan Naidu Dance at Sangeet Function.

A report published by News 18 Telugu stated that Naidu danced at the sangeet ceremony of his cousin’s wedding in the Srikakulam district of Andhra Pradesh. 

Apart from this, the fact checking unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) of the Government of India has also refuted the viral claim. PIB tweeted on 8 December 2025 that, “Several posts circulating on social media show an old video of Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, claiming he was dancing amid the recent operational disruptions and flight cancellations across IndiGo’s network”. This claim is misleading. The Video is four months old, and it has no link to the current situation and is being circulated out of context”.

Thus, the viral video does not depict Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu dancing during the Indigo crisis. This viral video is from a family wedding reception in Srikakulam in July 2025, long before the airline interruptions started.
