A CCTV footage has gone viral on social media, depicting a young girl, who offers her lollipop to a robber during his attempted theft at a shop. In response to her kind gesture, the robber returns the stolen valuables, gently pats and kisses the girl on the head, and departs the shop empty-handed. 

In the video, we can see in an armed robbery attempt, robber slapping the shopkeeper and then grabbing the valuables. The child inside the shop is allegedly the shopkeeper’s daughter and the users who share the video claims it as a real incident and praises the robber. The caption of the post states, “This Thief has a heart”.

Fact Check- 

We started our investigation by conducting a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on a Pakistani YouTube channel named Kamran Team Official on 16 November 2025. The description part of the video clearly states that the video is scripted, the individuals featured are actors.

“This video is a staged video and the people appearing in it are actually drama characters (actors), and the weapons shown in this video are fake. The purpose of this video is absolutely not to hurt anyone’s feelings. This video does not represent any person or any institution. This video is only for entertainment purposes”.

The channel has at least 172 videos, most of which are scripted or edited CCTV videos ranging from humour to social messaging. Most importantly, we found that the same actors appear in several other videos of the channel.

We also found the same video uploaded on the Facebook page of Kamran Team, where the caption clearly mentions that the video is scripted.

Based on all these evidences, we can confirm that the viral video is not a real incident.

Conclusion- Fact crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. This video does not show a real incident. It is a scripted video created for entertainment and awareness by Pakistani channel Kamran Team Official.
