This viral video shows an accident which occurred in Saudi Arabia in 2017, not the recent bus crash.

At least 45 Indian Umrah pilgrims are dead following a devastating collision between a bus and a tanker near Medina, Saudi Arabia, on 17 November 2025. The majority of the pilgrims, hailing from Hyderabad in Telangana, were en route from Mecca to Medina when the bus caught fire. Following this, a video of a bridge engulfed in flames with a massive plume of black smoke, asserting that it showed the incident
Fact Check-
We started our investigation with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on YouTube on June 24, 2017, with an Arabic caption. The English translation of the caption read: “Fuel tanker overturns and its driver is burned to death in Aqabat Sha’ar” This indicates that the video is old and not related to the recent accident.
Moving forward, we found several news reports regarding this incident. As per reports from 2017, a 32-ton oil tanker met with an accident on Aqaba Shabar Road, in which the driver was burnt to death. This makes it clear that the viral video is not of a recent incident from Saudi-Arabia in which at least 45 pilgrims were feared dead.
Another report by Saudi news outlet Okaz also covered the same incident, detailing how a tanker carrying 32 tonnes of diesel overturned on a bridge near the ninth tunnel on the Shaar mountain pass linking Abha.

So, based on these evidences, we can understand that a 2017 video of a fuel tanker accident falsely shared as recent bus accident.
Conclusion-
Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. This viral video shows an accident which occurred in Saudi Arabia in 2017, not the recent bus crash.
