We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to the official YouTube channel of the Ministry of External Affairs, India where we found a video uploaded on May 24, 2026, that matches the viral video. The caption of the video read, “Press conference by EAM Dr. S Jaishankar and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.”
Nowhere in the video did S. Jaishankar make any such statement as claimed in the viral video.
Moreover, PIB Fact Check on their official X handle stated that the viral video is fake and AI-generated.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the viral video has been altered. External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar didn’t make any statement on the Cockroach Janta Party as claimed in the viral video. The viral video has been edited using AI.
