A video showing Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath arriving at a venue along with his security personnel and Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan is going viral on social media. The users who shared the video claimed that Yogi Adityanath came to watch the movie Dhurandhar (Dhurandhar: The Revenge)

The caption of the post states, “Yogi ji arrives to watch the special show of Dhurandhar 2 – The Revenge.”

Our investigation began with a reverse image search on Google, and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on the official YouTube account of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. It was uploaded on 7 January 2023, well before the release of the film Dhurandhar 2. The caption of the video reads, “Great meeting with Yogi Adityanath ji.” This indicates that the video is old and not related to the Dhurandhar movie screening.

Moving forward, we found news reports regarding this event published in January 2023. As per the Statesman report, the UP CM had met the then Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. The then Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, and Gorakhpur MP Ravi Kishan were also present during the meeting.

The official X account of the Governor of Maharashtra also shared visuals from the meeting held on January 4, 2023. A closer examination of the images revealed that the same individuals present at the meeting were dressed in attire similar to what was seen in the viral video.

So, the viral video is from the official visit of Yogi Adityanath to Maharashtra, where he met the then-Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. The meeting was attended by the then Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in 2023.

Taking account of all this evidence, we can understand that the video is old and is unrelated to the Bollywood film Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
