A video of police officials examining a man lying by the roadside is going viral on social media with claims that it depicts authorities and residents in Pakistan searching for Indian spies in Karachi’s Lyari area following the release of the Bollywood movie Dhurandhar 2 (Dhurandhar: The Revenge)
The caption of the post states, “Karachi, Pakistan—Panic has gripped parts of Karachi’s Lyari neighborhood, with locals and police reportedly conducting searches for suspected “Indian spies” in the wake of the blockbuster Bollywood spy thriller ‘Dhurandhar 2,’ which was released earlier this month.”
Let’s check the truth.
Fact check:
Our investigation began with a reverse image search on Google, and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on Instagram by ‘Kawish Parekh’ on 26 December, 2025. The user appears to be a Pakistan-based influencer. The timeline of this upload confirms that the video is not recent and predates the release of Dhurandhar 2.
We reviewed his Instagram page and discovered that the user frequently posted videos featuring the same bearded man, who could be seen checking people and conducting “operations.” The descriptions accompanying these posts indicated that they were filmed in locations such as Karachi and Hyderabad in Pakistan.

A report published by Pakistan Observer identified the man as one Yunus Amin, who is behind the “Grand Operation.” He worked alongside the local police to catch drug addicts and later shift them to rehabilitation centers.

Further investigation revealed that Yunus Amin runs an organisation called Anti-Narcotics and Crime Control and has been conducting such operations in coordination with local authorities since at least 2023.
Taking account of all this evidence, we can understand that the video is old and is unrelated to the release of the Bollywood film Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Conclusion
Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be Misleading. This video shows a local operation against drug addicts in Karachi, and it dates back to December 2025.
