However, upon investigation, we discovered that the claim was false. The clips in the viral video are old. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check

The viral video contains two different clips. We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search.

First Clip

A reverse image search of the first clip led us to a Facebook post on 23 September, 2025 that contained the viral clip.

No information was provided with the video, but it’s clear that the video predates the current conflict between Iran and Israel.

Moving forward, we found a similar clip on an X handle on 24 August 2025. According to the caption, the video shows an Israeli attack on Yemen.

A comparison between the screenshots from the viral video and the video on the X handle can be seen below.

We found a report published on 24 August, 2025, containing a similar video to the viral one. According to the report, the Israeli Air Force carried out a massive airstrike against suspected Houthi militant targets in Yemen.

Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to a report published in Reuters on 25 August 2025 that contained a video similar to the viral video.

The report read, “Israeli strikes hit the Yemeni capital Sanaa on Sunday in retaliation for Houthi missiles fired towards Israel, with a Houthi health official saying the attack killed six people and wounded 86.

The strikes are the latest in over a year of direct attacks and counterstrikes between Israel and Houthi militants in Yemen, part of a spillover from the war in Gaza.

The Israeli military said the targets included a military compound housing the presidential palace, two power plants and a fuel storage site. The strikes killed six people and injured 86 in a final toll, a Houthi Health Ministry spokesperson said on X. “The strikes were conducted in response to repeated attacks by the Houthi terrorist regime against the State of Israel and its civilians, including the launching of surface-to-surface missiles and UAVs toward Israeli territory in recent days,” the Israeli military said in a statement.

On Friday, the Houthis said they had fired a ballistic missile towards Israel in their latest attack, which they said was in support of Palestinians in Gaza. An Israeli Air Force official said on Sunday the missile most likely carried several sub-munitions “intended to be detonated upon impact.”

Other reports can be seen here and here.

This makes it clear that the first clip shows an Israeli attack on Yemen.

Second Clip

Conducting a reverse image search of the screenshots from the second clip, we found the video uploaded on a YouTube channel on July 17, 2025.

According to the description, the video shows an Israeli attack on Damascus, Syria.

We found a similar report on the YouTube channel of the Guardian News on July 17, 2025.

This makes it clear that the clip is old and it shows an Israeli attack on Damascus.

Conclusion

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show a recent Iranian missile attack on Israel’s Haifa and Galilee. The first shows an Israeli attack on Yemen in August 2025 and the second clip shows an Israeli attack on Damascus in July 2025.
