However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video shows a different couple. Here’s the fact check.

We watched the video carefully and found that the couple looked different from Vinay Narwal and his wife. We took some screenshots from the viral video and conducted a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram account “queenpriyaprasad” where the viral video was uploaded on 21 April 2025.
There are other similar videos of the couple in the profile.
We found a recent video of the couple, uploaded on 25 April 2025 where they said that the viral video claiming to be of Vinay Narwal and his wife was actually theirs. The couple said in the video that although they were present in Pahalgam on the day of the terror attack, they left the place almost 20 minutes before the attack. They showed the viral video on their phone. They requested people not to spread rumours.
