Some ads claiming to be from reputed companies and organizations are now offering work from home as well. People get lure because of less working hours and good salary.
One such ad on social media claimed to provide part time jobs in FedEx to people interested in extra income. The ad specified the work can be done by mothers, retired people and even by people who are physically challenged.
However, Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. The job offer by FedEx on social media is a scam.
Fact Check-
First we went to the link given in the comment section. We found out that the link opened an unknown site and not FedEx’s original website. Although the website carried the logo of FedEx, it looked suspicious.
We looked into the other pages of the website. The website looks incomplete without any data or information. It seems the website was created using a template and not all the pages were completely filled. The schedule, speaker and the venue page has no information at all.
FedEx in its website had warned people to be aware of fraudulent emails and messages. Fraudulent emails and messages may contain malware or other kinds of viruses which will put people in a vulnerable state where their important personal information can be misused.
According to a report, there are many scams going around in the name of FedEx. Phishing emails or texts, phone calls, package delivery scams, fake job offers, advance fee scam etc.
In the fake job offer scams, the scammers pose as FedEx recruiters and offer fake job opportunities. They ask for personal information, bank account details, or payment for training materials or background checks. Scammers may ask people to pay an advance fee or signing bonus which does not exist in FedEx.
Conclusion:
Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. FedEx is not offering jobs to the people via social media ads. These kinds of job offers are mostly scams.
