An image of AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi holding Lord Ram’s portrait along with other people is going viral on social media. Users are claiming that this is a recent image ahead of Lok Sabha election results. The post also emphasized that after Owaisi saw his defeat in 2024 Lok Sabha elections inevitable, he is taking support of Hinduism. The user wrote, “Jab lagta hai ki fat jayegi to ache-ache line par aa jate hain”
However, Fact Crescendo found that this is an old image from 2018 which was altered and shared. In the real image, Asaduddin Owaisi was holding Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s portrait.
This same image and claim were also found to be posted on an Instagram handle carrying Kompella Madhavi Latha’s name. You can see the post below.
Fact Check-
A Google Reverse Image Search led us to a similar image posted on Asaduddin Owaisi’s official Facebook page. In this image we can see Owaisi holding Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s portrait and not Lord Ram’s. We found the same people standing with him.
The caption reads, “Dalits from Mochi Colony met #AIMIM President Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi at AIMIM party headquarters #Darussalam & thanked him for taking development activities in their area”

Fact Crescendo found that in the real image Asaduddin Owaisi was holding Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s portrait and not Lord Ram’s. The real image was altered to spread misinformation.
