An image of a beautiful long bridge is going viral on social media. Users are claiming this bridge’s location is from Mumbai.

However, Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. This is not a bridge from Mumbai but from China.

Sharing the image, a user wrote, “This is not the USA or China. This is Mumbai, India”

Fact Check-

A Google Reverse Image Search led us to a small video clip showing the same bridge. The translation of the caption reads, “Jiaozhou Bay Bridge in Qingdao, Shandong, China

Taking a clue from the above, we ran a keyword search on Google. We found the same image published on a website which states that many people posted this image saying it is from Mumbai while there are some who claimed it to be from Nigeria, but this bridge is known as Jiaozhou Bay Bridge from China .

Upon searching Google Maps for Jiaozhou Bay Bridge, we found an image having similar pillars that are also visible on viral image. Below you can see the comparison between the viral image and image found on Google Maps.

We also found the image of the same bridge on Alamy website. The caption reads, “Vehicles travel on the Jiaozhou Bay Bridge, also called the Qingdao Gulf Bridge, in Qingdao city, east China’s Shandong province, 27 June 2011. The construction of Jiaozhou Bay Bridge passed the inspection on Monday (27 June 2011). The bridge, with a total investment of more than 10 billion yuan (US$1.544 billion) and a length of 36.48 kilometers

Conclusion:

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. This is not an image of a bridge from Mumbai. This bridge is known as Jiaozhou Bay Bridge or Qingdao Gulf Bridge from China.
