Dubai faced flash flood and heavy rain in the region causing a lot of damages and sabotaging the communications. According to the reports, almost 15.2 cm of rain fell on Dubai which is equivalent to one and half years annual precipitation. 

Against this backdrop, a small video clip of camels trapped during a flood is going viral on social media. Users are claiming that this is a visual of the recent flood situation in Dubai. 

However, Fact Crescendo found the claim to be misleading. This is an old video from Tabuk, Saudi Arabia in the year 2018.

A Google Reverse Image Search on a keyframe, led us to the same video uploaded on Northeast Live YouTube channel in 2018. The caption reads, “Flash Flood claims 30 lives in Saudi Arabia

We found a tweet by a user on X on October 25, 2018 having the same viral video. Translating the caption, we learned that this video is from the floods in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia.

According to another report, this video was captured in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia after the floods due to heavy rains. Many people lost their lives and many more went missing during this flood. 

Conclusion: 

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be misleading. The video of camels trying to survive during the flood is an old video from Tabuk, Saudi Arabia and not of the recent flood in Dubai.
