Video of Akshardham temple in Delhi shared as Ram Temple in Ayodhya

The viral video shows an evening view of Akshardham temple in Delhi, not Ayodhya Ram temple.

The consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya took place today with Prime Minister Narendra Modi performing the rituals. Several visuals of Ram temple and people celebrating the consecration have been shared online. Meanwhile, a video of the temple lit up in the same background is being shared with the claim, “Night view - Ayodhya Sri Ram temple in all splendor”.

Fact Check-

A reverse image search on Google with the key frames of the video led us to a web story on a website called We Are Delhi.in. Here it is said to be from Delhi's Akshardham temple.

Then we searched with keywords and found many pictures and videos of Delhi's Akshardham temple, which are very similar to the viral video. The same video we found uploaded on YouTube on 19 June 2023. In which it was also stated that this video of Delhi Akshardham is a drone shot of evening time. Which you can see below.

Also, you can see the complete drone view of lighting of Delhi Akshardham below. The Akshardham Temple is a Hindu temple complex located in New Delhi, India. The complex is dedicated to Swaminarayan and was built in 2005 by the Bochasanwasi Aksharpurushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha (BAPS). The temple complex is one of the largest of its kind in the world and is known for its grand architecture, intricate carvings, and vibrant colors. The complex also includes a large museum, exhibition halls, and other attractions.
