The video is from Saudi Arabia and not from Karnataka, it dates back to 2018.

With Karnataka's Assembly elections taking place today, false news and videos from the state have been widely circulated on social media in recent days. Amidst this a video has gone viral with the claim that some women, all clad in burqas were fighting in the state. The video shows the women can be seen fighting each other so aggressively that one of them is seen dropping her child amidst the brawl.

Caption of the video states “No.1 Video from Bengaluru WTF Aunty G Abdul wife What did this kid do to you. Kill each other no issue but what's this kid fault??”

Fact Check-

By performing a simple reverse-image search on Google, We discovered that the video from Saudi Arabia. The footage was uploaded on YouTube with the caption 'Muslim ladies fighting on the road. A person named Zameer Hassan posted the video on September 2018 and which looked to be recorded from a car.

We also came across several news reports which had the same video. Russian news agency Sputnik had uploaded the same video with the story on 12 September 12 2018. Per this report, the incident took place in Riyadh the capital of Saudi Arabia.

The Sun too had published a report about the incident. Nowhere did we find that the said video was shot in Bengaluru.
As per reports “Two distinct groups of women are seen punching each other and pulling their hair out as cars race past. Amid the flurry of fighting one woman be seen clutching a small child, then dropping her. She continues fighting her opponent while grabbing the tot and trying to pick her up.

Furthermore, a closer examination of the cars in the video reveals that they are not from India, as the numberplates contain Urdu/Arabic letters and the registration numbering scheme differs from that used in India.

Conclusion-Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. The video is from Saudi Arabia and not from Karnataka, it dates back to 2018.
