We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search.
This led us to a report published in The Telegraph on July 31, 2026, that contained an image similar to the screenshots from the viral video.
According to the report, “Two prominent Trinamool Congress leaders in Jalpaiguri — a veteran leader’s daughter and the civic chairman — faced egg attacks allegedly from BJP workers and supporters on Thursday.
Pranayita Das, a Trinamool member of the Jalpaiguri zilla parishad, was heckled by BJP women workers as she reached the Kotwali police station in compliance with a Calcutta High Court directive requiring her to cooperate with the investigation into a post-poll violence case.”
We found a Bengali report that contained a longer version of the viral video.
According to the report, the woman in the viral video is Pranayita Das, the daughter of TMC leader Krishna Das.

This makes it clear that the woman in the viral video is Pranayita Das, a TMC leader from Jalpaiguri, West Bengal.
