However, upon investigation, we found that the viral video had been digitally altered. Here’s the fact check.

At the beginning of our investigation, we observed some abnormalities in the viral video. The tone of PM Modi didn’t match that of his original.
We took some screenshots from the viral video and conducted a reverse image search. This led us to the original video live-streamed on the official YouTube channel of Narendra Modi on May 20, 2026. From the timestamp 10:25, we can see PM delivering his speech in the joint press conference of PM Modi and the Italian PM Giorgia Meloni.
Nowhere in the video did PM Modi mention anything as claimed in the viral video.
Moreover, PIB Fact Check, on their official X handle, refuted the claim and stated that the viral video had been created using AI.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the viral video is altered. PM Modi didn’t make any statement on the Iran-US mediation as claimed in the viral video. The viral video has been edited using AI.
