This viral video shows a scene from the 2024 movie ‘Operation: Raqqa, not a real incident.

The ceasefire agreement between the Syrian army and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) appears to be in effect, although both sides have accused each other of violating the terms. A video showing some girls wearing burqa are standing in a line and a person is lifting the hijab of those women one by one and looking at them is going viral on social media.
It is being claimed that Islamic State sold women in the markets of Syria and Iraq. The caption of the post states, “500,000 Yezidis faced Genocide for refusing to convert to Islam! 7,000 Yezidi Women were sold in chains under sharia law by ISIS and 10,000 Yezidis were killed, still 2599 are missing, 250,000 are displaced in camps”.
Fact Check-
We started the investigation with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a similar video was shared on an Instagram page parsmovii on 26 November, 2025. The caption in Persian stated that this was a scene from the film Operation Raqqa 2024.

Keeping this in mind, we conducted relevant keyword search for Operation: Raqqa and found the trailer for the film shared on the YouTube channel ‘MDB Trailers. Which includes a scene from the viral video of the slave trade. The trailer also features a scene of a woman removing her veil and a close-up shot of another character.
The film Operation: Raqqa is a 2024 spy thriller film directed by Gerardo Herrero from a screenplay by Irene Zoe Alameda based on a novel ‘Virgins and Executioners’ by Tomás Bárbulo. It narrates the story of two spies infiltrating one of the most dangerous cities in the world to hunt down an ISIS leader known as “The Jordanian”. Set in 2014 within the ISIS-controlled city of Raqqa, Syria, it follows two undercover agents with conflicting interests but a shared target. The film was also released in Spanish as ‘Raqqa: Spy vs Spy’, it features Spanish and Moroccan actors. The movie’s poster and character information are available on the IMDB website also.

These evidences confirm that the viral video is not a real incident, it is a scene from the 2024 film ‘Operation: Raqqa.
