Recently, an image of a decapitated statue of Mahatma Gandhi went viral on social media claiming it to be from Bangladesh. Sharing the image a user wrote, “Welcome to Bangladesh Bapu
He went on a hunger strike to give them Rs. 55 Crore. He demanded absolute nonviolence from Hindus and supported the rights of Muslims to defend their religion. He was the “Father of Appeasement.” Today, Bangladeshis showed their respect for Gandhi by doing STSJ (Sar Tan Se Juda). Congratulations Bapu. Long live Gandhigiri without head !
PS: We must appreciate the Bangladeshis. They kept the STSJed head next to the bust. They didn’t throw it away or play football with it. So kind and compassionate !”
