We started our investigation with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a Daily Mail report published on 18 November 2024 including the same viral video. The report states, “A pair of escaped pit bulls attacked a boy and a girl at a playground in Brazil – with footage of the horrifying incident showing one of the dogs ripping the boy from a jungle gym. Video taken by a witness shows a brown-coloured dog locking its jaws around the boy’s leg on a playground in São Paulo on Tuesday as the youngster fights to free himself and bystanders hit the canine with sticks”.
Further searches led to several Brazilian media reports confirming that on 12 November, two pit bulls attacked a 12-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy in a park located on Rua Roberto Caetano Maria Lenci in São Paulo’s North Zone.
Thus, taking account of all these evidences, we can understand that a video of a dog attack on children in Brazil is shared as a recent dog attack from Maharashtra.
