Recently, a photo of three men hanged in public went viral on social media. Sharing the photo, users claimed that it shows three muslim men hanged publicly in Nepal who raped a Hindu girl.
However, upon investigation, we discovered that the claim was false. The photo is from a music video. Here’s the fact check.

We started our investigation by conducting a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram handle where a video was uploaded with the same claim. We noticed the clip showing the three men being hanged.
We took screenshots from the video and conducted a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram post on February 5, 2025, where we found a clip similar to the viral photo.
The video shows the Haryanvi singer Mankrit Aulakh.
Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to the music video “Defender” by Mankrit Aulakh uploaded on YouTube on April 5, 2024.
In this video, we found clips similar to the viral photo. A comparison between the viral photo and the screenshots from the music video is shown below.
This makes it clear that the viral photo is from a music video.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral photo doesn’t show three Muslim men hanged in Nepal accused of raping a Hindu girl. The photo is from a Haryanvi music video “Defender” by Mankrit Aulakh.
