Benjamin Netanyahu’s Brother Killed In A Recent Iranian Attack? Here’s The Truth.

A video of a burning house went viral on social media claiming that it shows an Iranian attack on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s house on March 9, 2026, and  Benjamin Netanyahu’s brother, Iddo Netanyahu, was killed in this missile attack.

However, upon investigation, we discovered that the claim was false. The viral video predates the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a report published on February 10, 2026, which contained an image similar to the screenshots from the viral video.

According to the report, the video shows a fire in a Galloway Township house on February 9, 2026. 

Galloway is a township in New Jersey.

The report read, “A fire quickly engulfed a Galloway Township home Sunday night into Monday morning.

Firefighters’ work was made more difficult due to the extreme cold, and the ice and snow that covered the property and surrounding areas, according to Galloway Township police.

The homeowner called for help after being awakened by the sound of smoke detectors and smell of smoke. Everyone was able to evacuate safely and there were no reported injuries.

Volunteer firefighters from Bayview and Oceanville who responded to 629 Park Place were met by heavy smoke coming from the attached garage.

The fire spread quickly and took hours to extinguish.”…

Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search which led us to the original Facebook post on February 9, 2026. 

According to the caption, the video is from Park Palace, Galloway, New Jersey.

Another report published on February 10, 2026, read, “The Galloway Township Police Department said its officers and volunteer firefighters were called to a home at 629 Park Place at around 10:30 after a resident reported being awakened by smoke detectors and the smell of smoke.

Officials at the scene saw heavy smoke coming from the attached garage of the large two-story home, which quickly spread throughout the residence and took several hours to extinguish.

Cause of the Fire Under Investigation

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but it does not appear suspicious.

Moreover, we found no credible report stating any recent Iranian attack on Benjamin Netanyahu’s house or the killing of Netanyahu’s brother Iddo Netanyahu.

This makes it clear that the viral video is old and unrelated to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.

Conclusion 

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video shows a house fire in Park Palace, Galloway, New Jersey on February 9, 2026. Moreover, there have been no credible news reports stating that Iddo Netanyahu was killed in any Iranian attack.
