Factcheck:

Our investigation began with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to the original video was uploaded on YouTube by an overseas Filipino worker Edlyn Candido Lacse, who was live streaming in Lebanon. She has posted the video on YouTube on 6 August, 2020 under the caption, “Blast while im on my streaming”.

When the video gained traction on social media, Lacse took to her Facebook account on 3 March, 2026, to refute claims that the video was from Dubai. She stated, “I’m the one in the video; it’s Lebanon, back from 2020. I’m safe, and I’m in the Philippines now. The bloggers are reposting it on TikTok.”

The video dates back to 2020, the same year a catastrophic explosion struck Beirut. On 4 August, 2020, a massive blast rocked the capital after large quantities of ammonium nitrate ignited. The explosion caused widespread devastation and was felt throughout the city. The explosion was caused by the ignition of a large stockpile of explosive material that had been stored at the port for years.

So, the resurfaced livestream, uploaded on 6 August, 2020, is from that time and is not connected to the current regional tensions. This video is indeed from 2020 and was shot in Lebanon.

Conclusion

Fact crescendo found that the claim made along with the viral video to be False. This is an old video from Lebanon; it is not related to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
