
A video showing a massive explosion on a bridge and significant structural damage is going viral on social media. It claims to depict an Iranian missile striking the King Fahd Bridge, which connects Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, following a recent Iranian attack amid escalating tensions.
The caption on the video states, “First Footage of Iranian missiles strike toward King Fahd (Friendship) Bridge, that links Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. it was successfully destroyed. the largest bridge in Middle East”.

Our investigation began with a reverse image search of key frames from the viral video, which led us to similar video uploaded on the YouTube channel of Guardian on 8 October 2022 with a caption “Kerch bridge explosion: CCTV appears to show Crimea bridge blast”
Upon further search, we found more reports of this incident. The explosion occurred on the Kerch Bridge in Crimea, which connects Russia to the Crimean Peninsula. According to the video report by the Independent , the blast was caused by a truck bomb, resulted in at least three fatalities.

A YouTube video published by Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty on 8 October, 2022 also states the same details. The description states, “An early morning blast and ensuing fire hit a section of the dual road-and-rail Crimea Bridge over the Kerch Strait and a span of the road bridge collapsed into the sea on October 8”.
Conclusion
Fact crescendo found that the claim made along with the viral video to be False. The viral video shows the Kerch Bridge explosion in Crimea, and it dates back to 2022.
