This video is unrelated to India. The incident occurred in China.

A video of a car parked outside a residential house suddenly catching fire private property catching fire is rapidly going viral on social media, in which a car parked outside a residential house can be seen suddenly catching fire. In the video, fire and smoke can be seen coming out from the underside of the car, before gradually engulfing the entire car. Many users are now sharing the video and claiming that the incident occurred in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, where an electric car parked outside a house suddenly caught fire.

Fact Check- 

We started our investigation with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on YouTube on 18 November, 2025.  But it did not provide any details about the location or circumstances of the incident.

Moving forward, we found the same video uploaded on an Instagram page under the description, “An electric vehicle suddenly caught fire and exploded. The model involved was the Chinese Feifan ER6”.

Using these hints, we conducted further searches and found several Chinese-language news reports. According to a report on news.nextapple.com, this incident occurred in a community car park in China. A person living nearby recorded the video of the incident, and when the explosion occurred, he shut his windows, fearing toxic smoke.

The viral video has also been uploaded on the YouTube channel of Taiwan’s TVBS News, quoting China.  

Conclusion- 

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. The viral video does not show an electric car fire in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The footage is from China.
