A video of military activities is being shared on social media with claims alleging that after declaring Arunachal Pradesh its own territory, the Chinese Army is deploying massive military reinforcements near Arunachal Pradesh border. The caption of the post states, “China has started massive military build-up near Arunachal Pradesh.”

Fact Check-
We began our investigation with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on YouTube by CGTN Europe on 13 November, 2025, with a title ‘PLA ground force conducts live-fire drills featuring high tech drones, robotic dogs.’
The description part of the video states that recently, a unit of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) conducted a live-fire drill using new tactics and advanced technology, such as long-endurance drones and robotic dogs. The exercise simulated combat tactics, increasing battlefield efficiency and reducing risk to soldiers.
Apart from this, the fact checking unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) of the Government of India has also refuted the viral claim. PIB tweeted on 14 December 2025 that, “Several social media accounts have shared a video claiming that China has started a massive military build-up near Arunachal Pradesh. This claim is Fake. The video shared shows a military exercise conducted by a brigade of the PLA’s 78th Group Army, which is part of the Northern Theatre Command, headquartered in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. The video has no relation to any exercise on the Indian border”.
