Unrelated Video Shared As The Recent Tejas Fighter Plane Crash In Dubai.

On 21 November 2025, a Tejas fighter jet met with a tragic accident during a flying demonstration at the Dubai Air Show. The pilot, Wing Commander Namansh Syal, died in the crash, the IAF confirmed. Against this backdrop, a video of a fighter plane manoeuvring and crashing down went viral on social media claiming it to be the Tejas fighter plane that crashed in the Dubai Air Show.

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was misleading. The viral video doesn’t show the recent Tejas fighter plane crash. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by taking screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a YouTube channel, where the first part of the viral video (Fighter plane manoeuvring) was uploaded on November 18, 2025.

According to the caption, the video shows a Tejas fighter plane manoeuvring in the Dubai Air Show.

We found the same video on Reddit uploaded on 19 November 2025. 

But, the Tejas fighter plane crashed in Dubai on 21 November. This makes it clear that the video of the fighter plane manoeuvre predates the crash.

Moving forward, we conducted a reverse image search of the clip that shows a fighter plane’s crash landing.

This led us to a report published on 28 August 2025 that contained an image similar to the screenshots from the viral video. 

According to the report, the video shows an F-16 fighter jet crashing during the rehearsal for the Radom Air Show.

Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to the official YouTube channel of NBC News, where the video was uploaded on 29 August 2025. 

The description of the video read, “Video captures the moment an F-16 jet crashes during preparations for an air show in Poland”

Similar videos can be seen here and here.

This makes it clear that the viral video is unrelated to the Tejas fighter plane crash in Dubai.

Conclusion 

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is misleading. The viral video is a compilation of two different videos. While the first part shows a fighter plane manoeuvre which predates the Tejas Fighter Plane Crash, the other part shows an F-16 fighter plane that crashed in Poland during a rehearsal for the Radom Air Show.
