A significant gesture of international recognition for one of India’s most influential social organisations.

However, when we investigated, we found that the claim was misleading.

If the Netherlands government had taken such a decision, it would have been big news. However, there is no news in any media outlet that the Netherlands government has issued a special postage stamp to mark the centenary of the RSS.

A reverse image search revealed that the postage stamp was shared on the website of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s mouthpiece, Organiser on 10 October 2025. According to the accompanying information, an organization called Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS NL) in the Netherlands released this postage stamp on October 9, World Post Day, to mark the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

Next, we checked the official website of the Netherlands’ postal service, known as PostNL, to see if it carried any stamps for the RSS, and we could not find any relevant results. But we came across a section that allows users to create custom stamps with any image of their choice.

As you can see from the comparison image below, anyone can create their own postage stamp of choice through this website. 

So, taking account of all these evidences, we can confirm that this postage stamp was not published by the Netherlands government but by an organization called Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh. Also, anyone can create a postage stamp with images of their choice through the website of the Netherlands Postal Department. 

Conclusion

Fact crescendo found the claim made along with the image to be Misleading. The Netherlands government has not issued a special postage stamp to mark the centenary of RSS. Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS NL) in the Netherlands released this postage stamp to mark the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
