However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is old and from Gaza. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check

We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a report published on a website that contained an image similar to the screenshots from the viral video and the viral video itself. According to the report, “Israeli occupation aircraft targeted Al-Farouq Mosque in Al-Nuseirat refugee camp, Central Gaza, resulting in its complete destruction on 23 November 2023.

Taking the clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search that led us to the YouTube channel Al Jazeera English, where the viral video was uploaded on 24 November 2024. According to the description, the video shows the moment Israeli forces bombed the al-Faruq Mosque in central Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp.”

Similar videos can be seen here and here.

This makes it clear that the viral video is an old video from Gaza.

Conclusion

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show a mosque in Pakistan being destroyed during Operation Sindoor. It’s an old video from Gaza when Israel attacked the Al Farouq Mosque in Al Nuseirat refugee camp.
