Is the image showing former President Barack Obama in an obscene relation with a minor girl? Know the truth. 

Currently, a collage image of a minor girl tied and stuffed inside a cardboard box and another image of the former President of the US, Barack Obama with a minor girl is going viral on social media. 

Users are claiming that the image of former President Obama raping a girl was leaked. It also mentioned that the dossier also has the photographs of the victim stuffed in a cardboard box who was kidnapped and sold as a sex slave and then killed. 

However, Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. The first image of the girl inside a cardboard box is from 2015 in Thailand, whereas the other child in the image with Obama is her niece. 

What’s the claim? 

Sharing the image, a social media user tweeted, “Photos of former US President Obama, one of those named in Epstein’s paedophilia and prostitution documents released the other day, raping a little girl have been leaked. The dossier also contains photographs of the same child being taken out of a cardboard box after she had been kidnapped and sold as a sex slave, and then, most likely, tortured and killed.”

Fact Check- 

First Image: The girl in the cardboard box- 

A Google Reverse Image Search on the first image in which a girl can be seen tied and stuffed inside a cardboard box led us to a YouTube video from 2015. At the 1.06 minute timestamp of the video we can see the same girl in the cardboard box. 

According to the information, the name of the child was Putri Nur Fauziah who was brutally murdered and her body was recovered near a toll road in West Jakarta. The victim’s mouth was stuffed with cloth and hand and legs were tied. 

Taking a clue from the above, we searched for media reports on the same incident. As per a report from 7 October 2015, the name of the victim was Putri Nur Fauziah who was a 9 year old minor. The victim was raped, killed and then wrapped in a box. The father of the victim suspected that the culprit must be someone known to her. 

According to the Jakarta Post report on 11 October 2015, person named Agus Pea was responsible for the rape and murder of the minor girl. The police named Agus as a suspect after confirming the DNA of the victim’s blood on his bedsheets and a few other places. Later the suspect also admitted to the crime he committed. According to him, he was under the influence of drugs and the murder was unintentional. 

From the above facts, it is clear that the image of the dead body of a minor found inside a box has no connection with the former President of the US, Barack Obama. The image of the minor inside a box is a completely different homicide case. 

Second Image- Barack Obama with a minor girl

A Google Reverse Image Search led us to the same image published on the Indian Express website on 13 November 2016. According to the information, the girl in the image with Obama is his niece Savita Ng, daughter of the former’s sister Maya Soetoro-Ng. This image was captured when Obama’s sister’s family visited the oval office in December 2015. 

The same image was uploaded on Alamy Website in 2015 which confirmed the identity of the girl in the image with Barack Obama as his niece Savita Ng. 

Conclusion: 

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. The first image of the girl wrapped in a box is an incident from 2015 in Jakarta and is a case of local homicide whereas the girl in the second image with Barack Obama is his niece Savita-Ng.
