We discovered that the same image was available on the internet from 2015.This clearly shows that the image has no connection to the recent Israel-Palestine conflict.

Let’s check the truth.

Fact Check-

We started the investigation with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a video report published by The Guardian on 5 October 2015 that carried the same visuals as the viral image. According to the report, on October 5, 2015, Hanna Mahameed, a TV reporter working with the Lebanese network Al-Mayadeen TV, had appeared on screen after suffering a close-range injury to her face from a stun grenade that was reportedly fired by Israeli police during a skirmish with Palestinian demonstrators in East Jerusalem. The report also included a video that showed Mahameed in pain after suffering injuries and being rescued from the spot, and then reappearing on screen with most of her face bandaged.

We came across several reports covered by media outlets on this incident. According to sources, a journalist who was shot in her face with a stun grenade from a close distance in east Jerusalem went back to reporting soon after the incident.

Taking account of these evidences we can clearly understand that an old incident shared linking to the recent Israel-Hamas conflict.

Conclusion- Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral image to be Misleading.
