Video of special train for pilgrims to Halkatta Shareef from Hyderabad shared with false claims.
The video shows a special train arranged for pilgrims from Hyderabad to Karnataka’s Wadi to visit Halkatta Shareef.
A video showing the front of a train decorated with a design of green colored Mosque dome and golden coloured birds has gone viral on social media with the claim that it is decoration on a train travelling from Hyderabad to West Bengal.
The caption reads“Hyderabad to West Bengal train today.”
The same post was widely shared on Twitter as well with the caption “Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi went to meet Momta Aapa. See Telangana Hyderabad to West Bengal trains, how fresh designs are being pasted on the train”
Fact Check-
We performed a reverse image search on Google using the key frames from the viral video and the results led to a few videos posted over the years from 2017.It is a special train arranged from Hyderabad to Karnataka’s Wadi to visit Halkatta Shareef. This YouTube video was posted with the title mentioning ‘Halkatta Shareef sandal and new dargah’.
Keeping this in mind in further search we found ‘Halkatta Sharif’ is the dargah of Syed Mohammed Badshah Qadri-ul-Chishti Yemeni Raichury, also known as Badshah Qadri, and is located in Wadi, Gulbarga district, Karnataka. Badshah Qadri preached peace and universal fraternity. People travel to Halkatta Shareef for the death anniversary or ‘Urs’ of Badesha Quadri every year.
Next, we found a video posted on YouTube by Gulbarga Times on 2 August, 2023 with the caption ‘46th Urs e Quadeer Halkatta Shareef | Sandal Mubarak’. This video shows a train that looks similar to the train seen in the viral video.
Later we came across another video uploaded on YouTube on 2August 2023 by a channel named Gohash with a title “46 URS-E-QUADEER HAZRAT KHWAJA SYED MOHAMMED BADSHAH QUADRI CHISHTI YAMANI QUADEER HALKATTA SHAREEF”. However, train number 13418, decorations including green dome, peacocks and bird appear to be the same in both videos.

The south central railways (SCR) arranged special trains for the pilgrims visiting Urs-e-Shareef of Hazrat-e-Quadeer at Wadi from Hyderabad.These trains have special decorations every year.
We found the official notification of South Central Railway from 27, July 2023. To maintain the extra rush four unreserved special trains were arranged on August 1 and August 2 from Hyderabad to Wadi for pilgrims attending the 46th the Celebrations of Urs – e – Shareef of Great Saint Hazrath Khwaja Syed Mohammed Badesh Quadri Chisthy Yamani

Fact Crescendo has found the claim made along with the viral video to be Misleading. The viral video shows a special train arranged by the railways for the pilgrims to visit Halkatta Shareef in Karnataka’s Wadi from Hyderabad is shared to falsely claim that it is a train to West Bengal.
